Advanced decision making in acute kidney injury (AKI) including decision making for dialysis referral
This webinar will focus on how to improve your in-hospital recognition and management of patients with AKI. We will discuss the optimising fluid balance, evidence base behind diuretic use and decision making for patients and clients where dialysis could be a management option. Case examples will be used to try and demonstrate how to optimise the intensive management of these complex cases.
Why do this course?
This course is aimed at veterinary surgeons who are confident recognising acute kidney injury but are looking to optimise their evidence based management and enhance the intensity of monitoring and therapeutic intervention they can offer. Delegates should be confident at the end of this webinar for when patients fulfil criteria for potential dialytic therapies and be able to discuss this as an option with clients.
This webinar is part of the Recorded Webinar Series: Advanced nephrology and urology and can be purchased as a complete recorded series at a discounted price and includes a webinar on complex consult calls that are faced in everyday practice.
