About this course

Feline pancytopenia was until recently a rare presentation to practitioners, especially in its primary form. In 2021 the veterinary industry experienced a saddening outbreak of the disease, raising awareness of the condition and causing much discussion on the methods of treatment available. This webinar will explore all three components of the disease and its potential causal agents. Clinical signs will be considered alongside the impact of this condition at a cellular level. Diagnostic techniques will be thoroughly discussed including accurate sampling and analysis. Treatment options for all aspects of the disease will be deliberated and the specific requirements of nursing care expanded upon to include minimising patient stress whilst continuing to provide gold standard care.

Designed for qualified veterinary nurses or experienced student nurses wishing to update their knowledge and develop their confidence in this area.

A convenient and flexible way to earn some CPD hours without leaving home is to select webinars to view from our extensive library of recorded webinars. They are great value for busy practitioners seeking quality CPD at a time of their choice. Participants will receive a handout (slides and/or notes) to support their viewing session and a CPD certificate.
Participants gain access to the webinar for two weeks which allows them to view it at their leisure and convenience as well as review aspects as needed to enhance their learning.

Members of the BVA Young Vets Network receive a 50% discount on our recorded webinars (subject to availability – ten discounted places available per webinar per year).
