About this course

A large number of conditions that afflict exotic pets is related to nutrition. Do you want more confidence to advise owners on proper husbandry to prevent these conditions?

Nutrition is an often-overlooked core care requirement for hospitalised exotics. Their higher metabolism and ability to hide disease makes nutrition even more important for their recovery. Methods on how to support these species will be covered in the hopes of empowering veterinary professionals to carry out these skills for exotics and know what to use when. Small mammals, birds and reptiles have different needs at home and in hospital and this webinar will cover common species in the hopes of this need being met with more confidence.

Why do this course
Successfully treating exotics involves an active consideration in nutrition. Preventing poor welfare in exotic pets requires veterinary professionals to educate owners and help remedy this. Understanding common nutritional deficiencies helps to more easily diagnose and correct the issue.
