About this course

Want to improve your confidence managing lymphoma and mast cell tumours in dogs?

Join us for an interesting evening with our Oncology Service covering the essentials of diagnosing, staging and treating two of the most common canine round cell tumours.

In sessions led by Clàudia Pedescoll Aguilar and Teresa Pinto, both small animal oncology residents we will work through a pragmatic approach to these cases in general practice, including which diagnostic tests are useful, when staging matters, and how results may influence treatment decisions.

The session will also cover current treatment options, expected outcomes, and how to have realistic conversations with owners about prognosis and quality of life. Along the way, we will highlight recent advances in both lymphoma and mast cell tumour management and consider how these are changing clinical practice.

There will be plenty of opportunity to ask the team questions and an optional for a tour of the small animal hospital.

Please come and join us on Monday 19th October at The Royal Veterinary College Hawkshead Campus, Hawkshead Lane, North Mymms, AL9 7TA. Registration and light refreshments are from 6:30pm in the Garden Room in the new Student Learning Centre with presentations starting at 7:00pm.

To attend we do ask for a £10 per ticket donation to the RVC's charity, the Animal Care Trust. To make your donation and register your place please book online. You will also receive a 2 hour CPD certificate for attending.

We look forward to seeing you there! Places are limited so please book your place as soon as you can to avoid disappointment.
