SAMSoc Diagnostic Lab Event - Thursday 18th May 2023

The day is for veterinary diagnostic microbiologists and clinicians to work towards producing diagnostic stewardship guidance on how best to report bacterial culture and antimicrobial susceptibility results to support responsible antimicrobial use in small animal and equine practice. There will be a combination of short presentations, case scenarios and panel discussions on bacterial identification and antimicrobial susceptibility testing. Outcomes of the discussions on best reporting of microbiology results to clinicians will promote good diagnostic stewardship.
