Course Information
- Highlight sources of information that may be useful when dealing with skin diseases in cattle
- Provide an overview of an approach to skin diseases in cattle
- Provide an overview of selected skin diseases including their diagnosis and management
A variety of infectious and parasitic conditions have long been described in cattle where the skin is involved. While many such skin conditions are often management related and usually resolve with limited investigation there are some situations where morbidity is high and concerns arise for health and welfare.
This webinar aims to make you aware of some of the causes of skin disease of cattle in the UK, how you may use appropriate diagnostic tests to establish a diagnosis and discussion of management procedures.
The selection of the conditions is based in part on advice enquiries received about frustrating entities such as persistent papillomatosis and unusual presentations such as bald calves. Other conditions include nodules given the growing interest in notifiable diseases such as lumpy skin disease and cutaneous lymphoma.
This webinar is suitable for recently graduate vets or any veterinary surgeon with an interest in enhancing their understanding of bovine skin diseases.
