Use and limitations of spinal radiographs in practice.
Although neurology is often associated with expensive and advanced diagnostic modalities, selected patients can also be diagnosed with techniques available in clinical practice. We will discuss the technique, interpretation, opportunities, and limitations of using spinal radiography in practice. We will briefly discuss myelography and cerebrospinal fluid analysis.
Why do this course?
It can be difficult to decide if further diagnostics can be performed in clinical practice or if patients should be referred. This course will discuss the potential and limitations of further diagnostics in general practice.
This webinar is part of a series called: Neurology for the Clinical Practitioner
This series of webinars is aimed at those who feel uncomfortable and overwhelmed by neurology patients. We will discuss the basic principles and how to get started with neurology in practice.
Other webinars in this series are:
What is the nervous system and what happens if it doesn’t work?
How to perform a neuro exam in practice?
How to recognise the most likely diagnosis – clinical reasoning in neurology
