Do you worry about antimicrobial resistance, but you still want the best treatment outcomes for your canine and feline patients?
Using antimicrobials wisely and well is an essential element of good clinical practice. General guidelines are useful, but practitioners are often looking for more specific information relevant to their clinical cases – knowing what is appropriate to use in different disorders and, just as importantly, when antimicrobials are not indicated. This course will provide you with the most recent evidence, best treatment recommendations and context on how to use antimicrobials responsibly in small animal practice. It will be delivered by a team of expert clinicians with particular interest and expertise in antimicrobial use in their field.
Why do this course?
Common scenarios and dilemmas in the context of antimicrobial therapy will be discussed. This will help you with challenging treatment decisions on antimicrobial therapy at a time when antimicrobial resistance has become one of the major threats to human and animal health.

Tuesday 21st April - Rational perioperative use of antimicrobials
