The silent sufferer: optimising rabbit analgesia - Dr Elisabetta Mancinelli
Rabbits are masters at masking pain, making effective recognition and management of discomfort are one of the greatest challenges in practice. This lecture will explore how to identify, assess, and treat pain effectively in this prey species. Emphasis will be placed on improving welfare outcomes through proactive pain management.
Therapeutics in reptiles and birds – Jo Hedley
Exotic species often require adapted pharmacological approaches, with significant differences in metabolism, drug safety, and administration techniques. This session provides a practical guide to therapeutic decision-making in reptiles and avian patients. It will cover commonly used drugs, safe prescribing practices, and strategies to improve treatment success in first-opinion settings.
PLUS plenty of opportunity for questions about YOUR challenging cases.
This event will be held at The Royal Veterinary College, Royal College Street, London, NW1 0TU.
Note - there is a fault on our email confirmation detailing Hawkshead as the Campus location for this event. It is being held at Camden and we are trying to fix the issue.
Registration is from 6:30pm with presentations starting at 7pm.
The fee to attend is £10 per person and includes Tea & Coffee. You will also receive a CPD certificate for attending the event.
