About this course

Looking to stand firmer in orthopaedics?

Orthopaedic problems are among the most common presentations in practice, yet they often feel like the most difficult to solve. Over four weeks, this course will help you build a more confident and systematic approach to the lame patient. We will revisit the orthopaedic examination, look at how to obtain and optimise radiographs, and work through common orthopaedic conditions. We will also consider when advanced imaging is most useful, helping you make informed decisions for your patients. Along the way, we will address the chronically lame patient, practical management of osteoarthritis, and effective approaches to emergency orthopaedic injuries. By the end of the course, you will be better equipped to approach orthopaedic cases with clarity and confidence.

Why do this course?
This course is for vets who want to approach orthopaedic cases with confidence. You’ll refine your examination skills, optimise radiographic interpretation, and know when advanced imaging is helpful. Practical guidance on managing chronically lame patients, osteoarthritis, and emergency injuries will give you tools you can use in everyday practice.

The webinars for this course will be pre-recorded and can be viewed as recorded versions throughout the course. Live Q&A sessions with the tutors will run on the following dates at 12.30pm London time.
