About this course

In 2021 all lectures will be delivered as pre-recorded webinars. Please note bookings are only via the website.

As the nights draw in and the days become colder, the winter season creates particular challenges to the health and well-being of horses. Sparse grazing, muddy fields and the wide variety of weather conditions form driving rain, hard frosts and snow can be hard on horses. In this webinar, RVC Equine vets Harold Hodges and Jessica Timmins will discuss some of the medical conditions that occur more frequently during this time of year, how you can recognise them and what treatments are available. The talk will also focus on practical preventative measures that you can take to help your horse prepare for the cold weather ahead.
