In light of the global pandemic there doesn’t seem a better time to consider infectious disease in veterinary patients. Infectious diseases such as parvovirus, kennel cough, cat flu and leptospirosis are not uncommon cause of illness in small animals. As a veterinary profession we do our best to prevent animals with infectious diseases from entering our practices and general wards therefore mitigating the spread of disease. However, what happens when an infectious patient is not only in need of hospitalisation but also in need of intensive care?
