About this course

You’ve been treating a horse for weeks but the cough doesn’t go away? Puzzled by the meaning of your airway cytology? Don’t despair…

The webinar is aimed at recent graduates starting out in equine practice and mixed practitioners wanting to update their equine knowledge and treatment repertoire. A step‐by‐step approach will guide you through diagnosis and management of the most common and some not so common respiratory conditions in horses. Each session provides practical tips and tricks how to obtain the best samples, what to do if there is no response to treatment and how to deal with economic constraints. Problems including non‐ compliant patients and clients and ways to deal with those will also be discussed.

Diagnosis and management of infectious and non‐infectious respiratory conditions in horses will be covered comprehensively.

This webinar was part of the Fundamentals of equine practice – medicine series that ran in 2019. The other webinars in this series are:

Investigation and management of cutaneous lumps and bumps
So, the liver enzymes are raised and the white cell count is low…? Practical interpretation of your biochemistry and haematology
The itchy horse
Oh no, I think it’s ataxic!
