About this course

This webinar is aimed at describing how to best perform nerve and joint blocks in the equine patient and how to interpret them. In the recent years, it has been realised that some nerve blocks may diffuse further than expected therefore this presentation will aim at describing the best way to perform the block and how to interpret them as reliably as possible. It is designed to give the practitioners who deal with horses the confidence to use and interpret nerve and joint blocks.

This webinar was part of the Fundamentals of equine practice – lameness series that ran in 2019. The other webinars in this series are:

Tendon injuries – first line treatment to long term management
Shoeing for different conditions

Diagnosis and management of common foot conditions
Investigation of poor performance
The approach to the swollen joint
A practical approach to the diagnosis and management of back and sacroiliac pain
Equine laminitis
