About this course

Successful identification, management and prevention of injuries and illness in competition horses is key to success as a sports horse vet. This does however, requires a thorough understanding of the demands of each sport and the ability to identify issues at an early stage.

This webinar will discuss management of the competition horse. It will focus on the importance of regular veterinary examination, formulation of a targeted treatment plan and rehabilitation of competition horses. The webinar will review the diagnosis, treatment and management of common injuries in dressage, eventing and show jumping horses, whilst considering drug withdrawal periods for medication control and ensuring optimal treatment for the horse.

Why do this course?
This webinar is particularly useful for those veterinarians working with competition horses. Delegates will refresh their knowledge on the management of common issues in dressage, show jumping and eventing horses, particularly in actively competing horses where competition demands can restrict treatment protocols and dictate drug usage
